Let AI Help You Discover Your Family!
Your Next Family Discovery May Already Be Waiting!
Did you know FamilySearch uses artificial intelligence to help discover possible family connections? Its AI Research Assistant can suggest historical records that may reveal missing parents, spouses, children, and other relatives.
Don't See an AI Hint?
That's okay! FamilySearch may not have a new AI suggestion for everyone. You can still explore the record hints on an ancestor's Family Tree profile, review a historical record, and attach it if the evidence matches. Every carefully verified source helps make our shared family tree more accurate!
This month's invitation is simple: Explore an AI hint, carefully review the evidence, and see whether you can add a new family member to your tree.
Three Easy Steps:
DISCOVER an AI Hint
Look for the AI Research Assistant on your homepage or a suggested record hint while exploring an ancestor's profile.
REVIEW the Evidence
Now comes the detective work! Examine the historical record and compare its information with what you know about your ancestor.
ADD Your New Family Member
Sometimes, a verified record reveals a parent, spouse, child, or another relative who isn't yet connected to your family tree.
Did You Know? FamilySearch's AI tools can help you discover possible family relationships, locate relevant historical records, explore information about ancestors, and find promising directions for additional research.
Remember: AI doesn't replace your judgment. A suggested match is an invitation to investigate, not proof that two people are the same. The most meaningful discoveries happen when technology and careful family research work together.
You don't have to be an experienced genealogist. Just bring a little curiosity and a willingness to explore!
One small discovery. One eternal connection.
