FAMILY HISTORY INVITATION

Prepare Family Names for Temple Baptisms and Confirmations

Discover how to find your ancestors in FamilySearch, prepare their names for temple baptisms and confirmations, and help make these sacred ordinances possible.

This month's invitation is simple: Find family names, prepare your temple cards, and help your ancestors receive the blessings of baptism and confirmation.

Three Easy Steps:

Find Your Family Names

Use "Ordinances Ready" or names you've already reserved of ancestors who need baptisms and confirmations.

Open FamilySearch
Get Your Temple Cards

Print your family name cards at home, or use the digital option to have temple workers help print them when you arrive.

Open FamilySearch
Help Complete the Ordinances

Attend the temple if you're able, or share your family names so others can participate in baptisms and confirmations.

Open FamilySearch

Did you know? Worthy Church members ages 12 and older can participate in baptisms and confirmations for deceased ancestors with the appropriate temple recommend. You can help prepare family names even if you're unable to attend the temple yourself.

Remember: You don't have to find every name on your own! FamilySearch can help you discover ancestors who need ordinances, and you can share names with family members, friends, or the temple when appropriate. Every name represents a real person and an opportunity to serve.

One small discovery. One eternal connection.
