FAMILY HISTORY INVITATION

Share Five Names with the Temple!

Five Family Names. One Simple Act of Service. Five Opportunities to Help Gather Israel!

Did you know that when you share family names with the temple, you're helping make sacred ordinances available for other temple patrons to complete?

Perhaps you've reserved names but haven't been able to attend the temple as often as you hoped. Or maybe you've discovered several ancestors whose ordinances are ready, but you know you won't be able to complete them all yourself.

FamilySearch provides a way to share eligible reservations with the temple so others can participate in this sacred work. And you don't have to research an entirely new family line to begin!

This month's invitation is simple: Share five eligible temple ordinance reservations with the temple.

If you don't have five names available, begin with whatever you have. Even one shared name is a meaningful contribution.

Three Easy Steps:

RESERVE Your Names

Sign in to FamilySearch and open your Family Tree. Look for deceased ancestors with temple ordinances available to reserve, or review reservations you've already made.

Open My Temple Reservations
Click "Share with Temple"

Select up to five available reservations, then choose Share with Temple if that option is offered. Review the confirmation information before completing the action.

CELEBRATE!

Those ordinances may now become available for other temple patrons to complete. You can review the status of your shared reservations through FamilySearch.

View My Shared Names

Did you know? When you share eligible temple ordinance reservations with the temple, other temple patrons may be able to help complete the work on behalf of your deceased ancestors. This is especially helpful when you have reserved more ordinances than you can reasonably complete yourself.

FamilySearch tracks temple ordinance reservations and their status, helping members see which ordinances have been reserved, shared, or completed. You don't have to perform every ordinance personally to contribute to this important work.

Remember: You don't need to find five completely new ancestors. You may already have eligible reservations waiting in your FamilySearch account. And if you only have one or two names available, share those! The purpose is to participate in the work, not to reach a number at the expense of careful research or appropriate permissions.

Five names. Five opportunities. One beautiful act of service.
